“You can tell this was written by a dude.”
Break out the Bowie and the Bauhaus because this month we are looking at The Hunger by Whitley Strieber and its movie adaptation. In this episode we’ll be discussing sexual violence, white Egyptians, and the male gaze (and how an adaptation can correct this). So in honour of the late great David Bowie, put on your best black for what can basically be described as “The 80s: The Vampire Movie”.

It’s always pretty sad when men write women as they never take the time to understand women so they thing the only thing we think about is sex like they do, or that we are somehow monsters or something. Playing with men and then throwing them away. You could probably do a study on the book about how men view women and about the female vampire as written by men versus women, etc.
